Frostwire

Frostwire is a p2p program.

It’s made by some ex-employees from limewire.com.

The program has a blue-ish look instead of the boring green limewire theme.

It is a cross-platform free version of limewire-pro with some extra functions.

Some of it’s features are:

- Completely Free & open-source
- Max. speed network connections
- iTunes Integration
- Firewall-to-firewall transfers
- Connects to more sources
- Junk Result Filters
- Turbo-Charged Download Speeds
- Community Chat Rooms
- Proxy Support

You can download it from here.

If you have connection problems do this:

1. Go to the terminal

sudo nautilus

2. Browse to gnutella.net

/home/[USERNAME]/.frostwire/gnutella.net

( press ctrl+h to see the hidden files)

3. Open gnutella.net (or create it if it doesn’t exist)

4. Delete everything inside the file

5. Replace it with

http://mc3.electronicbox.net/gnutella.net

6. Save file and restart Frostwire.

Extra:

The standard frostwire icons are plain ugly. I found some good looking frostwire icons on http://cr1t1cal.joejoe.org/ .
